Providing quality services &
positively impacting our community

At Community Counseling and Wellness Centers (Formerly Community Counseling Services), the individual and the counselor work together toward progress. Treatment is not something we “do to” anyone. Instead, we work alongside the people who come to us for help. We are convinced that we get better results when they are on board and take responsibility for their choices. Therefore, our job has a lot to do with providing better options and with helping clients accept their own part in their choices.

On average, Community Counseling and Wellness Centers opens more than 150 new cases each month. At any given time, we are actively treating approximately 1,000 people for various mental health and substance abuse issues. Over the course of a year, more than 2200 different residents of Crawford County will have obtained services from the agency. That is nearly 1 out of every 20 persons in our county.

You may schedule an appointment with us by calling our agency at 419-562-2000, or through the after hours line at 800-755-9010. We DO NOT accept appointments by email.

We match treatment to need

Community Counseling and Wellness Centers (Formerly Community Counseling Services)offers a number of therapeutic services for eligible clients. All of our customers are carefully matched to a therapist who can best meet their needs. Our individualized approach to care begins with the initial phone call to our Intake Specialists who work with clients to determine which therapist might be the best fit for them.

Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST), similar to a service formerly known as case management, assists persons who qualify to build/strengthen specific sets of life skills (e.g., self-care, communication, advocating for themselves, and assertiveness) and/or to learn of, communicate with, and access various public services related to their unique life needs (e.g., for housing, food, utilities).

Med-Somatic / Psychiatric services are also an integral part of the services we offer. Our med-somatic team includes highly trained psychiatrists, a pediatrician, and a certified nurse practitioner as well as a team of nurses working collaboratively with our clinical staff to ensure clients receive the best care.

Your individualized care begins with the initial phone call to our Intake Specialists. Some of the people we work with are seeking assistance with particular issues, while others approach counseling as a primary means to self-awareness and personal growth. In any case, our attention and our efforts are geared first and foremost, toward the betterment of each customer.
